Geoff Peate is the founder and Principal Consultant of Complete People Development and is responsible for helping you achieve your people focused business objectives.
In a career spanning more decades than he would like to admit to, Geoff has worked with and for leaders and managers across a broad spectrum of industry types and organisational sizes as a manager, coach, trainer/facilitator, business analyst, strategic planner, organisational development consultant and accountant.
Over his career, Geoff has gained valuable insight into the factors that facilitate success as a leader, a manager, a change agent and a business owner. Pivotal to this insight is the awareness that no one solution works for all people. In fact, the most effective solution is the one generated from individual awareness and actions that arise from being effectively coached.
Geoff has spent tens of thousands of dollars on his own education and believes that having an attitude of continual inquiry and learning is a foundation element for success in today’s dynamic business environment.
Geoff works with people in business to help them identify their pathway to success (however they choose to define it) as an executive or a business owner. Geoff also applies his expertise as a CPA and Business analyst in Business coaching to help move enterprises from where they are to where they want to be.
Geoff's Philosophy
Geoff’s philosophy is that every business executive and business owner has within them the seeds of their own success and greatness. As a coach, Geoff is a facilitator of change rather than someone who tells clients what they ‘should’ do. He allows clients to choose their own course of action, based on critical analysis of options he helps them uncover. He then holds them accountable for taking action on the strategies they identify as being most appropriate to achieve desired outcomes.
Closely related to that is the knowledge that no two business journeys are the same. It is for these reasons that Geoff is dedicated to helping people tap their own capabilities, and the resources they have around them, to develop an approach to their unique situation that enables optimum personal development and fulfilment.
In doing this Geoff believes that optimum growth comes at the boundary of support and challenge and so employs methodologies to both recognise success and challenge ineffectiveness. In short, Geoff considers himself to be the catalyst that enables others to bring about the changes they desire.
Qualifications and Certifications
Geoff holds a Masters Degree in Business Leadership from Curtin University. He is also a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) and a member of CPA Australia, Australia’s peak accounting organisation.
Geoff is also certified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the 4 core tools of the Hogan Assessment. Geoff has also studied and has been accredited in the application of the Demartini Method of emotional equilibration as well as the Demartini Values Determination process.
To improve his already extensive coaching skills, Geoff has also completed a Brain Based Coaching certification from the Neuro-Leadership Institute and has completed a coaching qualification centred on the concepts of Conversational Intelligence.
Geoff is a national and international speaker and trainer, having spoken on ‘Neuroscience and Facilitation’ at the world’s largest conference for Training and Human Resources Professionals; the annual conference of the Association for Talent Development. Geoff has also presented a variety of papers for CPA Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and private clients around Australia and in South East Asia.
